Communicating through Escalated Conflict

Pre-requisite: To get the most out of this course, we recommend Communicating Through Conflict, or some prior communication skills training.  However, this course can be taken as a stand-alone course.If you attend the two communication courses, Communicating Through Conflict and Communicating Through Escalated Conflict, in combination with Comfort in Conflict and Confidence in Conflict, you will earn a Certificate in The Art of Conflict Resolution. 

Instructor: Jaemi Bertrand – After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the University of Alberta, Jaemi pursued training in Conflict Management through the ADR Institute of Alberta, with 250+ hours of conflict resolution training. She holds certificates in Conflict Leadership, Attuned Communication in Dispute Resolution, Integrative Negotiation, and Facilitative Mediation. She coaches and instructs in a variety of settings including the ADR Learning Institute (ADRLi), the University of Alberta School of Business, ADR Institute of Alberta (ADRIA) and NAIT, with a focus on the topics of conflict resolution and working with emotion.

The idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy, so we won’t do that.  However, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented.  Therefore, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course.  We will shut off online course registration a week before, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register.  We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date.
