COMMUNICATING THROUGH CONFLICT is a deep dive into the key communication skills effective for preventing and resolving conflicts in your personal and work life. You will have an opportunity to learn and practice skills that are time tested for clearing the air and creating understanding. It is one day that could positively impact every relationship in your life and reduce relationship stress and miscommunication. This course will include skills in listening, questioning, disclosing, clarifying assumptions, how to dialogue with dignity, and speaking assertively. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the training day you will become familiar with and practise the following skills: OUTLINE: This course qualifies for 7 CPD hours through CPHR Alberta and will cover Effective August 1, 2026 This course has no pre-requisites. This course can be taken as a stand-alone course or in combination with Comfort in Conflict, Communicating Through Escalated Conflict, and Confidence in Conflict to earn a Certificate in The Art of Conflict Resolution. Instructor: Heather Stewart The idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy, so we won’t do that. However, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented. Therefore, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course. We will shut off online course registration a week before, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register. We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date.
