Mont-Tremblant Mediators Gathering

Mont Tremblant Mediators Gathering

June 3-4, 2026 in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec

A practitioner-led retreat for mediators, facilitators, & peacebuilders

The Mediators Gathering is an immersive, practitioner-led retreat designed for those working in mediation, conflict resolution, community dialogue, restorative practice, and Indigenous-informed approaches to peacebuilding.

Each year, we bring together professionals who are committed to strengthening their practice, deepening relational skills, and restoring the sense of community that sustains this work.

Our 2026 Gathering will take place June 3–4 at Le Lodge de la Montagne MountTremblant (Quebec, Canada), with an invitation for participants to arrive early or stay through the weekend to enjoy the region, connect with one another, and participate in optional community-building activities. Lodging is hosted at MountTremblant Resort, a quiet and reflective setting that supports embodied, experiential learning.

Our Approach

The Gathering is facilitated by a team of practitioners who share a commitment to culturally grounded, relational, and experiential approaches to mediation:

  • Paula Drouin – Mediator, trainer, and founder of the ADR Learning Institute
  • Marion Berard – Mediation practitioner and coach
  • Soleida Perez – Mediator, facilitator, and community dialogue practitioner

Our sessions emphasize presence, cultural safety, embodied practice, and curiosity. We explore tools and frameworks that support mediators in real-world environments, spaces where complexity, emotion, and community realities shape conflict and its resolution.

Our Roots

WORLD Mediation Conference (2024)

The 2024 WORLD Mediation Conference, hosted by Paula Drouin at MacEwan University, set the foundation for our Gathering’s values. Under the theme “Marginalized no more,” the Summit challenged siloed approaches to mediation and highlighted the importance of integrating cultural, relational, and community-based practices into contemporary conflict resolution.

The conference introduced the WORLD framework: a practical and philosophical guide for inclusive and culturally grounded mediation. Participants engaged with Indigenous circle work, embodied conflict practices, trauma-informed approaches, diversity in mediation design, and value-based conflict work.

The Summit reinforced the importance of mediator presence, compassion, and curiosity, principles that continue to shape the Mediators Gathering today.

Port-Vendres Gathering (2025)

In 2025, our Gathering in Port-Vendres, France brought together practitioners from Canada and Europe for a fully experiential retreat. Through circles, embodied practice, reflective activities, outdoor sessions, and storytelling, participants found:

  • Space to replenish themselves emotionally and professionally
  • A rare opportunity for peer learning across cultures
  • Practical tools they could bring directly into their community and organizational practice
  • A supportive network of practitioners who remain connected long after the Gathering

Many attendees work in emotionally complex environments, community mediation, restorative justice, education, mental health, and workplace and organizational conflict. The Gathering offers one of the few accessible spaces designed specifically to support and nourish this kind of work.

Why Mont-Tremblant?

Mont-Tremblant offers an ideal environment for relational and experiential learning:

  • A natural landscape that encourages reflection and grounded presence
  • A walkable connection between accommodations and Le Lodge de la Montagne Conference Room
  • Quiet, intimate spaces perfect for small-group dialogue and circle practice
  • Opportunities for outdoor movement and embodied activities that complement the curriculum

The setting is more than a venue, it is part of the learning experience, supporting the depth, connection, and restorative energy that define the Gathering.
