I am so honored to announce that on December 13, 2019 I signed contracts with the Governors of the University of Alberta for the delivery of ADR Learning Institute’s Art of Conflict Resolution Certificate Program courses through the Faculty of Extension commencing January 2020. They will run out of the Faculty of Extension’s downtown classrooms on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta. It is a beautiful space with floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows in the classrooms, many break out rooms, and a beautiful huge living wall. Participants will be registered students of the University of Alberta and of ADR Learning Institute. The University of Alberta will maintain your student transcript.

The four courses are “Comfort in Conflict” – 2 days; “Communicating through Conflict” – 1 day; “Communicating through Escalated Conflict” – 1 day; and “Confidence in Conflict” – 2 days. They are scheduled to run as weekday courses during Winter Session; evening and weekend courses during Spring Session; and a combination of weekday and weekend for the Summer Institute in July. All of these courses are pre-requisites for our ADR Institute of Canada approved Mediation training.

Currently, our other courses including: Negotiation for Mediators; Facilitating Workplace Restoration; Mediation courses; Bearpaw Peacemaking Certificate Program, and our Professional Development Courses will still be offered directly from ADR Learning Institute and registration is available through our website.

The University of Alberta registration website for our courses is expected to go live in the next 48 hours so you can register in any of our Art of Conflict Resolution courses. For full details about the Art of Conflict Resolution Certificate Program, click here.

If you are one of the many students who have already taken one or more of these courses through us, but have not yet completed the Certificate Program, you can now register for the courses you missed directly through the UofA website. However, to register for Confidence in Conflict, which lists the other three courses as Required Pre-requisites, you will have to ask me to notify them of the courses you already completed with us.
