A mediator’s role is to facilitate the negotiations of the parties at the table. The parties may be going through a divorce, starting a business, negotiating terms of a contract, resolving a conflict or negotiating how to move forward with their working relationship, or negotiating care of aging parents. Whatever the situation, the mediator’s role and responsibilities vary only slightly. In every situation their presence must provide confidence, safety, focus, and a pathway to resolution and or agreement.
Our Mediation Training Certificate program has been pre-approved by ADR Institute of Canada as accredited training towards the national designations of Qualified Mediator and Chartered Mediation. The program has also been recognized as an IMI Certified Mediator Training Program, by IMI – International Mediation Institute, to become eligible for recognition as an ‘IMI Qualified Mediators’.
Our Online Mediation Training Certificate Program consists of four courses totalling 90 hours of training. 77 hours in Zoom/face-to-face class sessions, plus 13 hours of asynchronous work between sessions. Our training has been designed for Hyflex delivery. Learners can choose whether they want a Hybrid delivery experience (a mix of online and face-to-face) or they can choose to attend fully online.
The focus of our Mediation Training includes the mediators role and responsibilities, as well as the importance of Mediator Presence.
