Start of the North Retreat Centre 3 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta, CanadaThis 2-day workshop will be held on Saturday September 22nd from 8:30am - 4:00pm and will continue on Monday September 24th from 08:30am - 4:00pm. You will have some work to complete between the two days of training so set some time aside on Saturday evening or Sunday. The focus will be on creating workshops for adult learners.

Facilitating Workplace Restoration

Paula Drouin will then provide practical ways to adapt circle processes to restore post-conflict/complaint workplaces.

It aims to take fear and helplessness out of addressing the conflicts in your life, at home or at work. Becoming comfortable with conflict requires an understanding of what it is, the purpose it serves, how it expands and contracts, how people respond, and learning the skills and steps for resolution.

Bear Paw Peacemaking Certificate Program

The curriculum includes a discussion of colonial laws in Canada, and the effect of these laws on family and community relationships within the Indigenous community, as well as relationships with and between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada. The training situates Peacemaking and mediation as a powerful tool in the journey towards healing and reconciliation.
