This is the second course of three that will make up the total 7 days of training required to meet the mediation course requirements toward earning our Mediation Certificate. This course will focus on managing the emotional dynamic and other challenges in mediation. It will also provide more role-play practice mediating with the assistance of a coach, with an expectation that a significant amount of time will be spent drawing out deeper interests. Intercultural Communication Workshop
Online Course , CanadaIntercultural communication is a 5-hour workshop about the influence of culture on communication and conflict management. Using asynchronous and synchronous learning, we will define, explore and reflect on culture, our own cultural identity and unconscious bias, and how this impacts our presence in conflict and communication. Concepts on how to increase our cultural intelligence will also be explored. You will have an opportunity to learn and practice skills that are time tested for clearing the air and creating understanding. Mediation Foundation 1.1
This is the first course of four required to meet the mediation course requirements towards earning our Mediation Training Certificate. This is a 28 hour course with 20 of the hours spent in class online or face-to-face, plus an additional 8 hours of asynchronous work. This course will focus on the fundamentals, including: definition, theory, mediator role and presence, introduction to the interest-based mediation model with practise and coaching. Introduction to Investigations
