BCALM© – Coaching Through Conflict

This course is offered in 6 three-hour sessions.  Each session includes:

• Explanation of the theory that supports Coaching through Conflict
• A Demonstration of the skills associated with Coaching through Conflict
• An opportunity to Imitate or practice the ART of Coaching through Conflict
• And ideas on how to Transfer this knowledge into the practice of Coaching through Conflict

1. Session 1:  Build Rapport

This course is designed for people who have already been trained in mediation.  We recognize mediation training from ADR Institute of Canada and their Provincial Affiliates, JIBC, Mount Royal University, and ADR Learning Institute Graduates.  If you have mediation training from elsewhere, simply email director@adrlearninginstitute.ca requesting permission to register.

Dr. Nancy Love has served as an educator, a coach, a consultant, a mediator, a facilitator, an intervenor, an advisor, a professional speaker and an author in the field of conflict management for more than 20 years. She has trained as a coach with Lori-Anne Demers and with Judith Glaser and most recently with the Integrative Enneagram Institute out of South Africa. Founder and Past President of the PULSE Institute, Nancy has worked across the US and Canada, with the University of the Virgin Islands, MacEwan University, Mount Royal University, the Government of Alberta and most recently as an advisor to Parks Canada’s Centre for Values and Ethics and as a senior practitioner and director for the Workplace Fairness Institute.  Nancy has a strong education background and a firm commitment to quality conversations, which is evident in her approach to training professionals in the field to do this important work. Experiential learning and individualized learning plans aimed at meeting the objectives of the course, is how she designs and teaches. Continually focusing on the needs of the learners.

The idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy, so we won’t do that.  However, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented.  Therefore, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course.  We will shut off online course registration a week before, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register.  We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date.

We know life happens.  Sometimes schedules change or the universe interferes with your plans.  Please provide us with as much notice as possible so we can provide you with a full refund and hopefully fill your spot.  If the universe doesn’t let you know until five or less days before the course, then we will give you a full credit towards another course which you, or someone you choose to transfer it to, can use within a year.  If your financial situation is such that you just really need the money to be put back into your account, then give us a call and we will provide a refund less any admin costs incurred through Pay Pal or Invoicing.
