Conflict is the Pathway to Growth & Success
Our courses are designed for adult learners and are delivered in a supportive learning environment. The training room can be your personal space to become stimulated and inspired, reflect on new concepts, practice skills and models, make mistakes, learn from them, contribute to the learning of your training-mates, and make plans to transfer what you are learning.
Art of Conflict Resolution Certificate Program
We have created this program to provide participants with a strong and practical foundation in conflict resolution models and skills. Each of the four courses was designed, and are delivered, to optimize participants learning. The courses are scheduled over a four to six month period of time, to enable the participants to integrate new learning into their everyday life, before being introduced to the next layer of complexity.
Bear Paw Peacemaking Certificate Program
The Bear Paw Peacemaker Training program is grounded in an interconnected worldview, where building, maintaining and strengthening good relationships is paramount. The curriculum includes a discussion of colonial laws in Canada, and the effect of these laws on family and community relationships within the Indigenous community, as well as relationships with and between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada.
ADR Practitioner Certificate Program
ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Practitioner is a professional who understands how to analyze conflict, choose the appropriate process, and rebuild relationships post conflict. This certificate program prepares participants to provide a variety of options to their clients. Understanding and being able to perform the work of a mediator is just one of the options, however, the modern workplace is ever changing and requires more from the consultants they contract. Particularly in helping them assess the conflicts they are facing and restoring workplace teams post investigation.
Mediation Certificate Program
A mediator’s role is to facilitate the negotiations of the parties at the table. The parties may be going through a divorce, starting a business, negotiating terms of a contract, resolving a conflict and negotiating how to move forward with their working relationship, or negotiating care of aging parents. Whatever the situation, the mediator’s role and responsibilities vary only slightly. In every situation their presence must provide confidence, safety, focus, and a pathway to resolution and or agreement. Our mediation courses have been pre-approved by ADR Institute of Canada as recognized training towards the national designations of Qualified Mediator and Chartered Mediator.
