Being a Peacemaker

This course is designed for Indigenous adults, and employees of Indigenous organizations, wanting to take on a peacemaker role in their family, community, and workplace. The course focuses on theory and skill development for being a Peacemaker and facilitating parties through a conflict resolution dialogue.  Participants will learn about the role and responsibilities of a mediator; the Bear Paw mediation model, preparing parties for mediation, practice mediating following the Bear Paw mediation model; gain and understanding of the national code of conduct and ethical requirements for mediators.

Being a Peacemaker is part of the Bear Paw Peacemaking Certificate Program. Participants must register for the entire program.
