- Prior to entering the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution Heather was educated as a rehabilitation practitioner, an optician, and a bookkeeper.
Experience:
- She coaches with ADR Institute of Albert, and is a coach and instructor with ADR Learning Institute. Heather also facilitates training workshops with community and church groups.
- Past RJ coordination, workshop facilitator, conflict coach, and restorative dialogue facilitator with the Mediation and Restorative Justice Centre.
- Co-created Alberta’s Framework for the use of Restorative Justice in Criminal Matters and an Introductory course on the same topic with Paula Drouin through ADR International Group Inc.
- Has co-facilitated group dialogue with condo boards, community leagues, and City sports organizations.
- She mediates in the Alberta Civil Courts program.
- Heather completed a practicum of several months co-mediating in the Government of Alberta Family Mediation Program supporting parents as they put together parenting plans and child support arrangements.
- Through ADR International Group she has provided intake services assisting individuals and groups as they address concerns regarding harassment, bullying and discrimination.
