DESCRIPTION:Course InformationPre-RequisitesScheduleRegistration Cut-Off Cancellation PolicyCourse Information \nThis is the first course of five required to meet the mediation course requirements towards earning our Mediation Training Certificate.  This is a 28-hour course with 24 hours spent in class plus an additional 4 hours of asynchronous work. \nThis course will focus on the fundamentals\, including definition\, theory\, mediator role and presence\, introduction to an interest-based mediation model with practice and coaching. \nCourse approved by ADR Institute of Canada as recognized as meeting the training requirements towards the national designations of Qualified Mediator and Chartered Mediator and is recognized within our Certified Mediation Training Program with the International Mediation Institute for registration on their International Mediator Roster.  Click here for more information about national designations. Click here for more information about international designations. \nCost: \nIncluded in the total cost of our Mediation Training Certificate Program \nCredit card fees are paid by the purchaser – effective January 1\, 2025 \nCost includes: Instructors\, guest lecturers\, coaches for skill practice and role plays\, course materials\, administrative support\, and access to our on-line eLearn platform which includes discussion forums for learners to share resources\, ask questions\, and connect with each other and with the instructional and coaching team. \nPre-Requisites \nSee Mediation Training Certificate Program Requirements – these must be met before attending this course. \nSchedule \n\nSaturday\, September 26\, 2026 – 9:00 – 11:30 am MT\nThursday\, October 1\, 2026 – 3:00 – 6:00 pm MT\nThursday\, October 8\, 2026 – 3:00 – 6:00 pm MT\nSaturday\, October 17\, 2026 – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm MT\nThursday\, October 22\, 2026 – 3:00 – 6:00 pm MT\nThursday\, October 29\, 2026 – 3:00 – 6:00 pm MT\nSaturday\, November 7\, 2026 – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm MT\n\nCourse dates and times are based on Mountain Daylight/Standard Time and could be adjusted to best meet the time zones of the final list of participants. \nRegistration Cut-Off  \nThe idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy\, so we won’t do that.  However\, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in\, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented.  Therefore\, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course.  We will shut off online course registration a week before\, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register.  We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date. \nCancellation Policy \nWe know life happens.  Sometimes schedules change or the universe interferes with your plans.  Please provide us with as much notice as possible so we can provide you with a full refund and hopefully fill your spot.  If the universe doesn’t let you know until five or less days before the course\, then we will give you a full credit towards another course which you\, or someone you choose to transfer it to\, can use within a year.  If your financial situation is such that you just really need the money to be put back into your account\, then give us a call and we will provide a refund less any admin costs incurred through Pay Pal or Invoicing. \n \n\nApproval to register is required by ADR Learning Institute.  Completion of pre-requisites has to be confirmed prior to registration.
