DESCRIPTION:Course InformationPre-RequisitesScheduleRegistration Cut-Off Cancellation PolicyCourse Information \nThis is the third course of four that will make up the training required to meet the mediation course requirements toward earning our Mediation Training Certificate. It is a 22 hour course comprised of 18 hours in class plus 3 hours of asynchronous work on your own. \nThis course will focus on managing the emotional dynamic and other challenges in mediation such as\, power\, trauma and intercultural communication. It aims to take fear and helplessness out of addressing the conflicts in your life\, at home or at work.  Becoming comfortable with conflict requires an understanding of what it is\, the purpose it serves\, how it expands and contracts\, how people respond\, and learning the skills and steps for resolution.  We will provide a supportive\, inspirational training space for you to learn and practice the foundational skills and models you need to get started.  You will be supported by the ADRLI Course Facilitation Team made up of the instructor and coaches. \nSchedule:\n\nTuesday\, January 19\, 2027 – 8:30 am – 12:00 pm MT\nThursday\, January 21\, 2027 – 8:30 am – 12:00 pm MT\nSaturday\, January 23\, 2027 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm MT\n\nPrice:\n$615.00 CAD  + tax*\n*Tax calculation is based on your place of residence. \nPre-requisite  \nNo pre-requisite.  This course can be taken as a stand-alone course or in combination with Communicating through Conflict\, Communicating through Escalated Conflict\, and Confidence in Conflict to earn a Certificate in The Art of Conflict Resolution. \nInstructor \nInstructor: Anita Veldhuisen Slomp – Anita draws on a decade of working as a mediator\, coach\, and instructor. She has been described as insightful\, unassuming\, and skilled.
