To be notified of the next course offering\, click here.\nCourse InformationPre-requisite InstructorRegistration Cut-Off Cancellation PolicyCourse Information \nCOMMUNICATING THROUGH CONFLICT is a one-day intensive deep dive into the key communication skills effective for preventing and resolving conflicts in your personal and work life.  You will have an opportunity to learn and practice skills that are time tested for clearing the air and creating understanding.  It is one day that could positively impact every relationship in your life and reduce relationship stress and miscommunication.  This course will include skills in listening\, questioning\, disclosing\, clarifying assumptions\, how to dialogue with dignity\, and speaking assertively. \n2019 SCHEDULE: \nDays run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with an hour for lunch\, unless otherwise noted. \nFriday\, 25 October 2019 \nOBJECTIVES: \nBy the end of the training day you will become familiar with and practise the following skills: \n\nActively listen so others feel heard\nDemonstrate curiosity\nSpeak assertively\nListen to understand and speak to be understood\nDialogue with dignity\n\nOUTLINE: \nThis course qualifies for 7 CPD hours through CPHR Alberta \nAM \n\nThe KEN Principle\nA bit of foundation in emotional intelligence\nCognitive behaviour cycle\nRules of Engagement\nA flash of the obvious\nAssertive expression\n\nPM \n\nIntentional listening\nQuestioning\nPulling it all together to dialogue with dignity\n\nPre-requisite  \nThis course has no pre-requisites. \nThis course can be taken as a stand-alone course or in combination with Comfort in Conflict\, Communicating Through Escalated Conflict\, and Confidence in Conflict to earn a Certificate in The Art of Conflict Resolution. \nInstructor \nInstructor: Cecile Schultz \nRegistration Cut-Off  \nThe idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy\, so we won’t do that.  However\, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in\, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented.  Therefore\, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course.  We will shut off online course registration a week before\, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register.  We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date. \nCancellation Policy \nWe know life happens.  Sometimes schedules change or the universe interferes with your plans.  Please provide us with as much notice as possible so we can provide you with a full refund and hopefully fill your spot.  If the universe doesn’t let you know until five or less days before the course\, then we will give you a full credit towards another course which you\, or someone you choose to transfer it to\, can use within a year.  If your financial situation is such that you just really need the money to be put back into your account\, then give us a call and we will provide a refund less any admin costs incurred through Pay Pal or Invoicing.
