DESCRIPTION:Course InformationPre-requisite InstructorRegistration Cut-Off Cancellation PolicyCourse Information \nCOMMUNICATING THROUGH CONFLICT is a deep dive into the key communication skills effective for preventing and resolving conflicts in your personal and work life.  You will have an opportunity to learn and practice skills that are time tested for clearing the air and creating understanding.  It is one day that could positively impact every relationship in your life and reduce relationship stress and miscommunication.  This course will include skills in listening\, questioning\, disclosing\, clarifying assumptions\, how to dialogue with dignity\, and speaking assertively. \nSchedule:\n\nSaturday\, October 24\, 2026 – 8:30 am – 4:00 pm MT\n\nOBJECTIVES: \nBy the end of the training day you will become familiar with and practise the following skills: \n\nActively listen so others feel heard\nDemonstrate curiosity\nSpeak assertively\nListen to understand and speak to be understood\nDialogue with dignity\n\nOUTLINE: \nThis course qualifies for 7 CPD hours through CPHR Alberta and will cover \n\nThe KEN Principle\nA bit of foundation in emotional intelligence\nCognitive behaviour cycle\nRules of Engagement\nA flash of the obvious\nAssertive expression\nIntentional listening\nQuestioning\nPulling it all together to dialogue with dignity\n\nPrice:\n$360 CAD  + tax*\n*Tax calculation is based on your place of residence. \nPre-requisite  \nThis course has no pre-requisites. \nThis course can be taken as a stand-alone course or in combination with Comfort in Conflict\, Communicating Through Escalated Conflict\, and Confidence in Conflict to earn a Certificate in The Art of Conflict Resolution. \nInstructor \nInstructor: Heather Stewart \nRegistration Cut-Off  \nThe idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy\, so we won’t do that.  However\, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in\, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented.  Therefore\, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course.  We will shut off online course registration a week before\, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register.  We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date. \nCancellation Policy \nRead our withdrawal\, deferral\, and refund policy here. \n\nRegister\nIf you have already taken a course with us\, please email coursesupport@adrlearninginstitute.ca for any further course registrations at this time. \n\nIf you are a new student or a representative of a new student\, please fill out the form below entering the information of the person taking the course. \n\n\n\n\n\nUpon hitting SUBMIT you will be taken to FlyWire for payment and will be required to fill out the information for the individual or organization being billed.
