SUMMARY:BCALM© - Coaching Through Conflict
DESCRIPTION:InfoOutlinePre-RequisiteInstructorRegistration Cut-Off CancellationInfo \nADR Learning Institute has partnered with Dr. Nancy Love on the creation of this Conflict Coaching course that forms part of our ADR Practitioner Certificate Program. \nWe are honored to have Dr. Nancy Love work with us on the creation of the BCALM – Coaching through Conflict course. Nancy holds a Doctorate in Education and is a very accomplished conflict resolution course designer\, trainer\, and dispute resolution facilitator. She is also a certified Conflict Coach. Nancy Love and Paula Drouin have known each other for over twenty years and have worked together for over ten years.  It is very exciting to be collaborating with her on the design and delivery of this course. \nIn conflict situations people are not always at their best.  Helping them discover their own emotional and physiological responses to conflict can move them a long way toward peaceful productive lives.  In this course you will learn to coach your clients to understand and approach conflict as information\, from a place of curiosity rather than accusation.  Shifting from the Red Zone of Fight Flight or Freeze to the Green Zone of Release\, Relax and Relate. Providing them with skills to do that with others\, helps everyone have conversations where heads\, hearts and bodies align.  Participants will learn to coach by coaching and being coached through out program. New tools and approaches are introduced at each session. \nCoaching Through Conflict is one of the qualifying courses towards our ADR Practitioner Certificate program\, which is a program for Mediation professionals who want to increase the services they offer and advance their credentials. \nCourse Schedule\n\nWednesday\, November 9 3:00pm – 6:00pm MST\nWednesday\, November 16 3:00pm – 6:00pm MST\nWednesday\, November 23 3:00pm – 6:00pm MST\nSaturday\, November 26 9:00am – 12:00pm MST\nWednesday\, November 30 3:00pm – 6:00pm MST\nSaturday\, December 3 9:00am – 12:00pm MST\n\nLocation: Online\nOutline \nThis course is offered in 6 three-hour sessions.  Each session includes: \n\nExplanation of the theory that supports Coaching through Conflict\nA Demonstration of the skills associated with Coaching through Conflict\nAn opportunity to Imitate or practice the ART of Coaching through Conflict\nAnd ideas on how to Transfer this knowledge into the practice of Coaching through Conflict\n\n\nSession 1:  Build Rapport\n\nWhat brought you here?  Where are you today?\nPresencing with the SPIES Scales of Wellbeing\nWhat is coaching? Experiential learning and individualized learning plans aimed at meeting the objectives of the course\, is how she designs and teaches. Continually focusing on the needs of the learners. \nRegistration Cut-Off \nThe idea of preventing someone from registering for a course makes us all crazy\, so we won’t do that.  However\, we need to order printing a week before the course and make final decisions about the number of coaches to bring in\, and confirm the size of the classroom being rented.  Therefore\, we hope you will register as soon as possible (knowing we’ll be kind and easy to deal with if you have to cancel) and in exchange we will keep registration open until the day before the course.  We will shut off online course registration a week before\, however you can just give us a call at 780-460-7599 or send an email to admin@adrlearninginstitute.ca to register.  We will confirm your registration and make sure we have all the materials you will need when you arrive on the course date. \nCancellation \nWe know life happens.  Sometimes schedules change or the universe interferes with your plans.  Please provide us with as much notice as possible so we can provide you with a full refund and hopefully fill your spot.  If the universe doesn’t let you know until five or less days before the course\, then we will give you a full credit towards another course which you\, or someone you choose to transfer it to\, can use within a year.  If your financial situation is such that you just really need the money to be put back into your account\, then give us a call and we will provide a refund less any admin costs incurred through Pay Pal or Invoicing. \n
