Comfort in Conflict

This course normalizes conflict. It aims to take fear and helplessness out of addressing the conflicts in your life, at home or at work. Becoming comfortable with conflict requires an understanding of what it is, the purpose it serves, how it expands and contracts, how people respond, and learning the skills and steps for resolution. We will provide a supportive, inspirational training space for you to learn and practice the foundational skills and models you need to get started.

Days run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with an hour for lunch

No pre-requisite. This course can be taken as a stand-alone course or in combination with Communicating through Conflict, Communicating through Escalated Conflict, and Confidence in Conflict to earn a Certificate in The Art of Conflict Resolution.
Instructor: Anita Veldhuisen Slomp – Anita draws on a decade of working as a mediator, coach, and instructor. She has been described as insightful, unassuming, and skilled. Anita manages to balance the states of calm and curiosity. Participants have consistently raved about how much they learn from her gentle nudging.
