The Story
After a successful and inspiring 2024 World Mediation Summit, we continue the conversation on our journey to the space between conflicting parties with a follow-up informal gathering of mediators on June 4-6, 2025 at Hotel les Jardins du Cèdre in Port Vendres, France. This event will offer not only a space for learning but also a chance to meet mediators from the region, enjoy the local culture, beautiful surroundings, and interactive sessions.
The Gathering at Hotel les Jardins du Cèdre
This gathering will draw on the experiences of our participants to explore grassroots mediation processes and uncover innovative ways to design and facilitate mediations that meet the diverse needs of those we serve. Together, we strive to ensure that voices are heard and perspectives are honoured. It will also be be an opportunity to look ahead to the themes for a Mediation Summit 2026.

| 9:00AM – 12:00PM | Funshops Paddle boarding, Kayak, Yoga – walk along side the sea, and Intentional exploration of our senses – What we experienced through our senses while doing a physical activity and how it can help overcome mediation challenges, sharpening our self-awareness and full presence. |
| 12:30PM – 3:30PM | Lunch at the winery with a debriefing on morning activities and sensations Discussion 2: Overcoming Challenges in Mediation Contexts Adapting universal mediation practices to culturally and contextually specific environments. Strategies for handling resistance, misunderstandings, or systemic barriers within mediation processes. |
